How the wheel is read

The old year turns through eight great points: four set by the sun (the solstices and equinoxes) and four that fall between them. Yule sits at the top, the longest night. The shaded side of the wheel is the dark half of the year, from Winter Finding round to Ostara, when nights are longer than days.

Click a turning to see its season's dispatches. A dispatch belongs to a turning when it names that turning, or else to the season it was written in. The green hand marks today, worked out in your own browser.

Dates are the lodge's own reckoning and drift by a day or so from year to year; the solstices and equinoxes follow the sun. See also the Rune Index and the full Chronicle.
